A recent report highlights the political engagement of religious groups, challenging the common perception that white evangelicals dominate this sphere. The study reveals the significant political involvement of atheists and agnostics, suggesting a more complex landscape of religious influence on politics. More importantly how much impact that atheist have on our political system. After looking into the research, I think it is safe to say that Christians need to focus more on the political landscape in America.

Misconceptions About Evangelicals

The report questions the false perception that evangelicals are excessively political. It clarifies that historical data and empirical evidence indicate evangelicals’ political activity falls within the middle ground, contrary to common assumptions driven by personal biases and disagreements with their positions.

Firstly, one pervasive misconception about Evangelicals is that they are a homogenous group with uniform political beliefs. However, this is not entirely accurate. While a significant proportion of Evangelicals identifies as politically conservative, there is still considerable diversity within the group. A 2020 study by the Public Religion Research Institute revealed that about 29% of white Evangelicals were Democrats or leaned Democratic.

Secondly, there is a common stereotype that all Evangelicals reject the concept of evolution. Although it’s true that many Evangelicals hold creationist views, not all reject the theory of evolution. A 2019 study by the Pew Research Center found that about a third (33%) of white Evangelical Protestants in America said that humans evolved over time due to processes like natural selection. This is important in matters such as abortion and the trans movement.

Lastly, there is a belief that all Evangelicals are strict literalists when it comes to their interpretation of the Bible. While a good number of Evangelicals do interpret the Bible literally, it’s not a universal practice. A survey conducted by Lifeway Research in 2016 showed that only 24% of Evangelicals by belief strongly agreed with the statement, “The Bible is 100% accurate in all that it teaches” while 48% only somewhat agreed. In other words, the world has crept into Biblcal truth.

Political Engagement of Atheists and Agnostics

The study highlights the high political engagement among atheists and agnostics, noting their tendency to replace religious engagement with political involvement. Atheists, in particular, demonstrate a strong inclination toward political action and are more likely to donate.

Firstly, regarding political leanings, atheists and agnostics in the United States are more likely to align with liberal or left-leaning political ideologies. According to a 2020 study by the Pew Research Center, 69% of atheists and 56% of agnostics identified themselves as politically leaning toward the Democratic Party. Conversely, only 15% of atheists and 22% of agnostics affiliated themselves with the Republican Party.

Secondly, atheists and agnostics have shown high levels of political engagement. The 2020 General Social Survey reported that atheists and agnostics were more likely than the general public to say that they are very interested in politics (38% and 34% respectively, compared to 26% of the general public). Furthermore, a high percentage of atheists and agnostics reported that they always vote in presidential elections (73% and 70%, respectively, compared to 61% of the general public).

Lastly, when considering social issues, atheists and agnostics generally show more progressive attitudes. According to a 2017 survey by the Pew Research Center, a majority of atheists and agnostics support same-sex marriage (92% of atheists and 85% of agnostics) and believe abortion should be legal in all or most cases (87% of atheists and 79% of agnostics). This liberal stance on social issues often shapes their political engagement and affiliations.

Atheists and Agnostics Dominate the Political Landscape

Given the cultural changes our country has experienced in the last few years, it is not surprising that American society is facing challenges. When Judeo-Christian values, upon which America was founded, are set aside, society can adopt a more secular mindset. Recent events, such as riots causing damage to cities and landmarks, as well as the growing emphasis on addressing climate change, highlight this shift.

Examples of this cultural transformation can be seen in our news agencies, social media platforms, and traditional media outlets. Some news channels promote the idea that it is courageous to identify as a different gender than one’s biological sex, which would have been seen as absurd just one generation ago. Additionally, the focus on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues has resulted in the inappropriate exposure of young children to concepts they are not ready to understand. This is concerning from a moral standpoint. So, what has happened to the strength of the Christian voter?

According to recent reports, Joe Biden and his administration have propagated a narrative that “White Nationalists” are the most dangerous people in America. This claim, as the mainstream media suggests, is an indirect attack on those with strong Christian beliefs. Of course, such assertions are unfounded, but the media is eager to promote this message of animosity towards Christians. So, what should Christian-Conservative voters do?

My first advice is to stand firm in your beliefs and not be ashamed of Biblical truth. Weakness does not lead to victory. Your children, family, faith, and country are all worth fighting for. Just as Daniel faced the lion’s den, David faced Goliath, and Jesus confronted the culture of His time, it is imperative that we stand and fight the good fight of faith. This is more than just a catchy slogan or an Instagram post.

Evil will Dominate if Judeo-Christians are Weak

It is evident that evils such as socialism, communism, and satanism have found allies within various sectors of society, including the media, retail, social media platforms, and unfortunately, even education. As parents, it is important to be aware of what your children are exposed to and which companies you support with your hard-earned money. Equally important is understanding what is being taught in your child’s classroom. Neglecting their education and relying solely on the government to shape their spiritual growth and development is not ideal.

When it comes to determining whom you should listen to, conduct thorough research. Just because a news outlet like Fox News, or any other supposedly conservative media platform, presents information does not automatically make it true. Consider the recent incident involving Tucker Carlson, where he went against management to accurately refer to Dylan Mulvaney as a male. This demonstrates the perversion of God’s creation, which should be seen as sinful. God does not make mistakes.

Education begins at home. God has entrusted you with the responsibility of raising your child according to His holy word. Prepare the next generation to stand firm and resist the evils they will encounter in their education. If your child’s teacher assigns a book that you find objectionable, don’t hesitate to inquire why. Don’t be afraid to question why the Bible is not allowed in your child’s school while other material, like the GAY BC’s, can be found on library shelves.

Lessons We Have Learned from Examining Religious Groups

Not only do atheists and agnostics have a significant presence in political contributions, but they also have a strong influence at the ballot box. It is crucial that we exercise our right to vote. Will unethical practices occur? It is unfortunately a possibility. However, we must present such a dominant force of righteousness that it overpowers the darkness of twisted political agendas. This applies to local and state elections as well. Here are a few examples.

Firstly, do not hesitate to get politically involved. If there are undesirable candidates in a local election, consider running for office yourself or support someone who aligns with your values. Local elections have a profound impact on school boards and the policies they implement. While schools receiving federal funds are subject to federal rules, collective action can bring about change. This process begins by participating in state elections.

The framers of our Constitution intended that decisions outside the scope of the federal government be determined by individual states. Although we have delegated much decision-making power to the federal level, if enough states stand firm, this can also change. Consider the case of Roe v. Wade: who would have thought that the issue of abortion, regarded by some as evil, would be returned to state-level decisions? This demonstrates that when people of moral character unite, meaningful transformations can occur.

The Democratic Party has aligned itself with a godless, Communist base, and this is evident in its political leaders. They advocate for the choice to terminate pregnancies while simultaneously imposing mandatory vaccines. Christians are often labeled as bigots, transphobic, and racist. These leaders serve their own agenda, not the same King we worship. Our King is just, righteous, and loving.

Rush Limbaugh always said that it was never time to panic, and I believe he was correct. However, I also believe that the time has come for us to actively engage in the society we live in. Christians and Jews alike need to assert their influence in the political landscape. Failure to do so may result in increased oppression. President Biden already places blame on you for the country’s problems. Let us reclaim our voice against this sinister evil and proclaim truth, righteousness, and take decisive action.
