Legal Scholar AOC, a.k.a. Alexandra Ocasio Cortez has stumped her critics once again when it comes to The Constitution. In a blazing interview on the unbiased news network CNN, AOC recanted the call by her fellow house Democrats for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas to recuse himself from the Donald Trump case. It is not mandatory for him to do so, but what does that matter to house Democrats, they want to win.
Dubbed as “The Circus of Recusal,” Justice Thomas is being called upon to step away from the Trump/Colorado case that promises to make your head spin faster than a rollercoaster at an amusement park. AOC’s are not surprising, and would of course be the same demand she would make of Sotomayor in an Abortion case.
A Democratic strategist, recently graced us with her unique perspective, proclaiming, “His wife played a very active role in what I would describe as one of the most dangerous activities that has happened in the course of American history.” Yes, you heard that right; it’s all about the Thomas family dynamic, folks. A black, conservative Supreme Court Justice? The democrats do not want his voice heard.
Why, you ask? Well, it turns out that activists and members of Congress have united in a chorus of concern, demanding Justice Thomas’s recusal from a case that rivals the most gripping reality TV dramas. The case, you see, will decide whether former President Donald Trump should be granted the privilege of gracing Colorado’s voting ballot in the 2024 primary election. You know, free and fair elections and such.
Their argument? It’s a doozy. They claim that Justice Thomas’s better half, Ginni Thomas, boasts some reported ties to the former president. Shocking, right? But wait, there’s more! They believe that these alleged ties should disqualify Justice Thomas from offering his two cents on the current legal tango surrounding Trump’s eligibility to be on the ballot. Why, you may wonder? It’s all due to Trump’s alleged involvement in the Jan. 6 insurrection in 2021.
Thankfully, we have strong Democrat members of Congress who would never want a dissenting opinion to be heard. It is almost like we must have the Supreme Court rule their way, or the court is illegitimate. I’m sure we will never hear that slogan.
